Artek A805 Angel Wing Floor Lamp


Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1954, the Artek A805 Angel Wing floor lamp is a testament to Aalto’s ability to blend functional design with a sculptural aesthetic. Its distinctive hand-riveted shade, made from louvered metal strips, prevents glare by diffusing light evenly. The asymmetrical shape of the shade, reminiscent of an angel’s wing, adds a striking visual element to any space.

The stand is covered with hand-sewn leather, adding a touch of luxury, while the polished brass collar provides an elegant contrast. Ideal for living rooms, lounges, and commercial spaces, this floor lamp creates a warm and inviting atmosphere through its blend of direct and indirect lighting.
