The Utzon JU1 Pendant is an early design by Danish architecture legend Jørn Utzon. Utzon’s fascination with shapes in the nautical world, and the way light interacts with these shapes influenced many of his designs. This influence is seen in the Utzon Pendant, which echoes the appearance of a lighthouse, a series of waves, and the sails of a ship. When illuminated, the pendant’s concentric panels create a play of light and shadows, constructed to disperse light with calculated precision.
