Santa & Cole Cesta Metálica Table Lamp

The evolved version of the Cesta table lamp, the Cesta Metalica was designed by Miguel Mila for Santa & Cole. The table lamp has a stainless steel base which envelopes an opal glass globe diffuser. It is a constant battle between the materials, a delicate diffuser and the strength of metal. An optional leather handle can also be fitted to the lamp, making a strong statement with a juxtaposition between soft leather and a rigid metallic structure. Cesta, in Spanish, means basket, as the original Cesta lamp resembles this, as the opal glass shade is encompassed by cherry wood.

The lantern is made using traditional glass-blowing techniques by European craftsmen. It is a seamless expression, with every day practicality and includes an in-line dimmer to adjust the light's brightness. Mila's collection also includes that original Cesta table lamp and the smaller table lamps, known as Cestita range.
