The Butterfly Wall Lamp was designed by Sven Ivar Dysth in 1964 for Arnold Wiigs Fabrikker and later produced by Høvik Lys of Norway. In 2008 Northern Lighting decided to relaunch this Norwegian design treasure making it available once more for collectors of classic Norwegian lighting solutions. The Butterfly Wall Lamp has stood the test of time, blending in seamlessly to contemporary interiors and providing a perfect accent to any setting. This wall lamp is characterised by its wing shape, from which it gets its name.
The Butterfly Wall Lamp is comprised of overlapping panels that diffuse light into a soft and evenly distributed glow. Light surrounds the shade while the openings at the top and bottom provide a direct light that illuminates the wall it sits on. Install as a single decorative piece or as multiples, lining the length of a hallway or in a cluster to create a striking visual display. This wall light is available in a wide range of colour options and a choice of perforated or solid metal, meaning it will suit a variety of interiors and personal styles.
