Louis Poulsen PH 3/2 Table Lamp

Louis Poulsen PH 3/2 Table Lamp is based on Poul Henningsen’s reflective three-shade system, which directs most of the light downwards while the opal glass softens it across the surrounding area. Each shade is formed from three layers of mouth-blown glass, glossy on the outside and sandblasted matt on the inside, providing even, diffused light without direct glare from the bulb.

The existing Black, Brass, and Chrome models retain their original brass construction, while four new versions introduce colour through lightweight painted aluminium frames. Glossy Beige, Glossy Burgundy, Glossy Deep Blue, and Glossy Deep Green are each paired with white opal glass, bringing a stronger colour element to the familiar PH silhouette. The lamp works well on a side table, desk, console, or low cabinet where both downward light and a softer surrounding glow are useful.

The new glossy models have updated shade holders, a revised base with a silicone rubber pad, and a longer textile cord with an updated Louis Poulsen switch. Glossy Beige uses a white cord, while Burgundy, Deep Blue, and Deep Green are supplied with black. These changes apply only to the four new coloured versions, while Black, Brass, and Chrome retain their existing construction and dimensions. Most suited to living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms, hallways, and home offices where comfortable light is needed at table height.
