Foscarini Chiaroscura LED Floor Lamp

The Foscarini Chiaroscura Floor Lamp produces an all-around indirect light, built from the classic floor lamp by Pietro Chiesa and reimagined by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. Alberto and Francesco Meda have expanded on the lamp's functionality. The Chiaroscura lamp differs from any classic floor lamp in that it emits light sideways and towards the ceiling.

The latest launch from Foscarini, Chiaroscura is a new kind of expression of Foscarini's experimental ideas. The Medas, father and son designer duo, wanted to create an object that albeit complex internally, would appear simple to its user. Fitting with today's standards, the lamp has elements that are easy to assemble and disassemble, as well as repair. Made of aluminium extrusions, which allowed the designers to hide all the technical features, beautifully combined with a polycarbonate diffuser. Available in dark red or titanium finish, and can be dimmed with an in-line dimmer.
