Flos Seki-Han Floor Lamp

The Seki-Han Floor Lamp was first introduced in 1963. The lamp was designed by Tobia Scarpa, an innovative Italian designer who blends tradition and innovation to create timeless pieces with an understated beauty. The Seki-Han Floor Lamp features two vertical ash wood blades, chromed metal fittings, and a raw black iron base. The wooden blades rotate around a custom-developed dimmable linear LED light source. If required, the lamp can be fitted with a standard T8 LED tube.

The wooden elements on the Seki-Han are handcrafted, drawing from traditional naval techniques, and precisely finished to ensure quality and durability. The rotating blades create direct and indirect light with symmetrical and asymmetrical distribution. The ability to adjust light emission makes the lamp ideal for a variety of uses, from a functional reading light to ambient lighting. When the blades are pulled closed, a slight sliver of light remains, an ornate detail that adds to the intricacy of the design.
