The Gelato Table Lamp was originally designed in the 1960s as a wired lamp. Italian designer Carlo Nason and Established & Sons redeveloped Gelato into a portable lamp, infusing 21st-century technology into the iconic design. The Gelato is named after the quintessential Italian dessert, with a colourful glass stand holding an orb of frosted glass. This freestanding sphere houses a custom-made, replaceable LED with an integrated battery, activated with a haptic three-step dimmer.
The Gelato Portable Lamp is available in four distinct finishes that are aptly named to highlight the lamp’s Italian heritage: Spritz (orange), Mint (green), Azure (blue), and Smoke (grey). The frosted sphere diffuses light, creating a warm and ambient glow that surrounds the lamp. The inviting and atmospheric lighting, paired with the bold and playful finishes, makes the Gelato well-suited to a buzzing, colourful café. Within the home, the Gelato is perfect for lighting a dining room table or adding ambient lighting to a bedside.
