Established & Sons Cho Floor Lamp

The Cho Floor Lamp is a poetic luminaire that combines elegance with advanced manufacturing techniques. Swiss designer Dimitri Bähler utilises traditional Japanese Washi paper for the spherical shade and carbon fibre for the slender rod. The magnetically mounted paper shade features an internal balloon to be inflated at installation. Over time, this can be topped up with air as required. The carbon rod is powder-coated for a durable finish with a luxurious feel. At only 6mm, the rod will bend and spring back on touch, adding an interactive element to the functional lighting solution.

The Washi paper shade diffuses light from within, while the folds that occur naturally create a pattern of shadows across the shade. A foot-dimmer on the cable allows the user to adjust the brightness of the light to suit any requirement. The combination of technology and tradition creates a pure and minimal form with an organic and playful element. This contrast allows the Cho Floor Lamp to blend seamlessly into both classic and contemporary interiors. Available in two sizes, the Cho Floor Lamp can be showcased alone or in pairs to create a dynamic visual display.
