Nebula by Artemide


Ross Lovegrove designed the Nebula light, using advanced parametric scripting. The design is such the light is guided through the pattern and playfully interact with each other, creating the illusion of movement. Equipped with two light sources, the wall/ceiling light becomes a centrepiece and almost always a conversation starter. Nebula is a designer piece which balances between lighting, art and science. The light becomes part of the interior decor, and can function as a sculptural installation as well. The design is yet another example that Lovegrove is truly inspired by nature and the beauty and simplicity found there.

About the designer

Ross Lovegrove

Ross Lovegrove is a British designer who was born in 1958. He graduated from Manchester Polytechnic with a 1st Class BA Hons Industrial Design in 1980 and then went on to obtain a Master of Design at the Royal College of Art, London in 1983.
