Artemide Minomushi Suspension

In 2010, Issey Miyake and his research team, Reality Lab, presented the 132.5 ISSEY MIYAKE, a collection of clothes created using 3D geometric principles fed into a mathematical program. This process allows the material to be folded to create a 3D structure. Miyake and his team collaborated with Artemide, who brought in their lighting expertise, to create the IN-EI Issey Miyake collection. The Minomushi Suspension is a beautiful example of the structures that can be made using this well-considered folding process. Its large frame is both statuesque and solid, maintaining its shape without the need for an internal frame.
