They decided to reduce the materials used for the Ixa LED Floor Lamp, leaning into sustainable design, and the result is a minimalistic but highly functional lamp that can adapt to countless interiors. Artemide and Foster + Partners share a profound approach to sustainable design that permeates product development at every stage and singles itself out as an essential element of the project.

Artemide Ixa LED Floor Lamp is a combination of an adjustable spherical head, rods and counterweights. Bringing light to where it is needed, and encouraging the user to interact with the object, making it possible to personalise your space. The Ixa LED Floor Lamp provides a diffuser which can be separated from the base of the lamp, allowing it to freely rotate and granting its user the ability to project the light in any direction. Inspired by Alexander Calder’s sculptures, the design interprets the idea of ‘elegant balance’ through precision engineering.
