Eclisse was designed by eminent designer and architect, Vico Magistretti in the 1960s. The design won the Compasso d'Oro award in 1967 and has been the avant-garde equilibrium between design and utility. By rotating the inner shade, you can adjust the light intensity and direct the light, the same that an eclipse works. By having two shades, a fixed outer and a rotatable outer, you can choose to have a direct or diffused light. The lamp is available in three vivid colour choices, white, orange or red further reflecting the '60s influence. Eclisse table lamp is part of the permanent exhibition in various design museums in the world, including the MoMa museum.
