Artemide Demetra LED Professional Reading Floor Lamp

The Demetra Professional Reading Floor Lamp is part of the expansion of the Demetra Collection, a design by Naoto Fukasawa for Artemide. The design won numerous awards, including iF Design Award Deutschland, the Red Dot Design Award Essen and the Design Plus, light + building Frankfurt am Main in 2004. Fukasawa's 'Outline' concept is based on the harmonious relationship between an object and its user.

With a streamlined and sleek design, the Demetra Professional are nothing short of the Demetra lights. It was the need for a task light that brought us the Demetra Professional lights. The difference is located in the head/diffuser, which has a more powerful LED source. The diffuser was entirely redesigned so as to act as a 'heatsink' and absorb the heat that a more powerful LED COB would release. It is the thermodynamics behind the new design that prevents the heat from reaching the top of the head. This allows the user to safely use the light and dimmer switch atop the head.
