Artemide Alambicco LED Horizontal Suspension

The Artemide Alambicco LED Horizontal Suspension is a contemporary light fixture created by Neil Poulton. Poulton is renowned for his deceptively simple-looking products, and the Alambicco is an excellent example of this aesthetic. An aluminium structure that houses LED circuits sits in the centre of a knurled glass cylinder. Layered over this are five rounded diffusers, made from blown glass and inspired by the traditional Venetian Balloton technique.

When illuminated, the glass cylinder refracts light from the LED components, without completely hiding them, creating a soft and glare-free glow. The textured diffusers create a subtle play of light and shadows that cover the horizontal shade, while producing a warm and ambient lighting that fills the room. The uncluttered horizontal frame is perfect over a kitchen island, counter, or dining table, blending seamlessly into minimalistic, contemporary settings.
