Timothy Jacob Jensen

Born in 1962 and raised in Denmark, Timothy Jacob Jensen comes from a family of famous industrial designers. The Jacob Jensen family is well known in the field of design, and from a young age, Timothy Jacob Jensen knew that this was the path he wanted to take. At the age of 16, he became an apprentice to his father, learning everything there was to know about design. At the age of 28, he took over the responsibility of the family company from his father.

Jensen finds inspiration for his designs in everyday things, and he believes collaborating with other designers is crucial. He is also the founder of Designers Trust; a platform which brings together some of the most competent designers in the world and offers them the opportunity to contribute to better and more sustainable design solutions.

As well as designing, Jensen is also a professor at Fudan University in Shanghai.
