The Neri&Hu Design and Research Office was founded in 2006 by design duo Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu. The studio is an interdisciplinary architectural practice based in Shanghai. Lyndon Neri received his bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of California at Berkeley before going to Harvard University for his master's degree in architecture. Neri was the Director for Projects in Asia and an Associate for Michael Graves & Associates in Princeton for over 10 years before going on to start Neri&Hu with Rossana Hu.

Rossana Hu is a designer and architect who was raised in Taiwan. After receiving her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Hu went on to study at Princeton University, where she received her master’s degree in architecture and urban planning. Hu held positions at notable universities, including Yale School of Architecture and Syracuse University School of Architecture. In 2021, Hu became the first woman to hold the position of chair of the architecture department at Shanghai’s Tongji University.

"For us, the interior is a space quality that relates to the experience of inhabiting the space." - Neri&Hu
