Inma Bermúdez is a Spanish industrial designer working in Valencia. Before opening her own studio, she studied in Spain and Germany, then worked with design studios in Germany. That early mix of places is useful context for her work, but the designs themselves are usually very direct: portable lamps, furniture, and everyday objects that make sense quickly.
She founded her studio in 2007, with Moritz Krefter joining a couple of years later. Their work covers the kind of objects people use every day, from lighting and furniture to smaller home accessories. That everyday quality is a big part of Bermúdez’s appeal: her designs tend to feel practical and easy to live with, rather than showy.
For Marset, Bermúdez is best known for the FollowMe collection, a portable lamp that has become one of the brand’s most recognisable designs. Her work is often practical, direct, and approachable, with a strong focus on how an object is handled, moved, and lived with.
"The designer’s role consists of knowing what use will be given to the object." - Inma Bermúdez
