Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby

Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby are London-based designers who met whilst studying Architecture at the Royal College of Art. The two began their collaboration as students at RACA and have since created everything from furniture, lighting, household products and interiors in the hospitality sector. In 1969, the duo founded their design studio, Barber Osbergy, where they have an emphasis on experimentation and innovation - at their studio, they specialise in architecture, interior design, sculptures, product design and exhibition design.

Barber & Osgerby challenge the boundaries of design, and their work reflects the close relationship of their work with industrial processes and new technologies, but also its affinities with fine art. They have collaborated with a range of global brands such as Flos, Vitra, Panasonic and Swarovski. One of their most famous collections is the Bellhop for Flos, now a bestselling range of lighting for the brand.
