Adam D. Tihany

Adam D. Tihany is a Romanian designer, raised in Israel, who is now based in New York. He studied at the Politecnico di Milano School of Architecture and Urban Planning in Italy before apprenticing with design and architecture firms across Europe and eventually moving to America in 1976 and founding his own studio. This studio encompasses all aspects of design, from commercial and residential interiors to furniture, products, exhibitions, and graphics.

Tihany is widely regarded as the world’s preeminent hospitality designer, taking a sophisticated approach to interior and product design with a unique perspective. With his team at Tihany Design, he is internationally renowned for creating innovative interiors worldwide, including The Beverly Hills Hotel, The Breakers Palm Beach and the Four Seasons Dubai DIFC.

Tihany Design has become a leading name in the cruise industry, creating innovative design concepts for the next wave of cruise ships for Seabourn and Holland America brands. They are also the current creative director of Costa Cruises in Italy and of the iconic British cruise line Cunard.
