Lighting Design Service
Following an initial free consultation with our Lighting Designer at our showroom (by appointment only), we will provide a quotation for the Lighting Design Service, which will be based on the amount of time and the design work undertaken. A specific project cost is then quoted, and payment is required prior to commencement of work. A site visit is always recommended when an entire home is built or refurbished.
Although all projects are unique, as a general guide, we have four levels:
Level 1: An extension with three rooms from £750 + VAT
Level 2: An extension with four-five rooms from £1250 + VAT
Level 3: Complete build with all rooms from £1600 + VAT
Level 4: Very large projects from £2000 + VAT
Lighting Consultation Service
If you already have some ideas about the style of lights you
would like for your home, we also offer a Lighting Consultation Service which
is a lesser level of specification than the Design Service, providing advice
and guidance where you need it most.
There are different packages of support available, starting from suggestions for lighting in each room, to a lighting key offering specific lighting recommendations and proposed placement for every light on a marked plan. This service aims to bring your ideas and inspiration to life whilst ensuring your lighting plan is practical, serving the individualised functions of how you will use the space.
Prices are dependent on the scope of the work involved and
are determined on a case-by-case basis, but start at:
Level 1: Recommendations for decorative lighting for
one small room to a whole house, considering your interior style preferences
and room layout. The suggestions will be cohesive and ensure functionality as
well as design success. From £100.00 + VAT
Level 2: Lighting package for a small project, such
as a kitchen/diner or 2-3 rooms. This includes a marked floor plan showing the
suggested placement for decorative and technical lighting, as well as a
lighting key that links each light on the floor plan to a web page and
corresponding installation considerations. From £300 + VAT
Level 3: Lighting package for a large project, from
one floor to a full house. This includes a marked floor plan and lighting key,
as per Level 2. Revisions are possible as your project develops and multiple
consultation meetings may be necessary to ensure a comprehensive lighting
package. From £600 + VAT
Site Visit: Site visits are recommended for particularly tricky spaces which can help us understand the complexities of the lighting required. A standard fee of £150.00 + VAT applies and it is subject to travel constraints.
When do I contact a lighting designer?
Ideally, as early as possible,e but at least 4-6 weeks before the
electrical first fix. If you have a tighter deadline, lighting consultations
have a 3-week turnaround.
Do I first organise a site visit or a
showroom visit?
Ideally, we prefer our customers to make an appointment to come
visit our showroom, but remote initial consultations are possible if you are
unable to travel.
What are the costs involved?
There is no charge for the initial consultation at our showroom
to talk through the scope of the project and get a sense of your style. A
quotation for the Lighting Design/Consultation Service will then be prepared
depending on the size of the project proposal.
Do you operate a design service outside of
Yorkshire?
Yes, we can offer Lighting Design Proposals throughout the UK
and internationally. Site visits for the Consulation Service are subject to travel
constraints, but please do enquire.
Do
you offer installation?
No, but we can recommend excellent electricians locally.
