To understand the Orsjo Hobo collection it is first important to understand luffarslojd. Luffarslojd is a type of Scandinavian wire work done by hand to create beautiful and useful everyday objects. These metalcrafts were made by hobos back in the old days in Småland, where Swedish glasswork began. Hobos travelled all around Sweden offering to create items utilising this type of art in exchange for hot meals and a warm place to sleep.
Designed by Gustaf Nordenskiold, these pieces take inspiration from work created by the hobos. Each piece is hand made and completely unique. This collection can be characterised by its weight and intricate details.
