The Louis Poulsen PH 4/3 Collection was designed by Poul Henningsen. The collection, which includes a pendant and a table lamp, features a three-shade system Henningsen created in 1925, based on the logarithmic spiral. With the light source positioned at the centre of the spiral, an even distribution of light is produced over the entire curve of the shade. The PH 4/3 pendant was originally launched in 1966 and won Henningsen the highest distinction at the world exhibition in Barcelona. The model number of the PH 4/3 refers to the size of each shade, with a top shade of 40cm and a lower shade of 30cm.
Each metal shade is painted white underneath to ensure even light distribution. When lit, the shade guides light downward into a comfortable, glare-free illumination, perfect for bedside tables, lounge areas, or a study. The white finish creates an elegant and sophisticated aesthetic with timeless appeal. The table lamp features a chrome base that complements the PH 4/3's sleek design. In commercial spaces, the PH 4/3 Collection is well-suited to modern bars or restaurants, adding a welcoming atmosphere to the space.
