The Louis Poulsen PH Artichoke is one of the brand's most iconic fittings, originally designed in 1958 by Poul Henningsen for the Pavillonen Restaurant in Copenhagen. The foundation was already laid around 1927-31, when he developed the PH Septima Glass Light with shades made from clear glass alternating with sandblasted sections. It only took Poul Henningsen three months to finish the PH Artichoke, as he based the PH Artichoke on the Septima concept.
The PH Artichoke prioritises comfort, fitted with 72 reflectors that resemble leaves and help to diffuse the inner light source, projecting the illumination inwards and upwards for a 100% glare-free lighting output. This elegant suspension is eye-catching and allows you to choose between a metal version, glass or the anniversary edition in pale rose. No matter where you display the Louis Poulsen Artichoke, it is guaranteed to catch the eye. Now classed as a design icon, it's an elegant way to brighten up residential and commercial interiors, whilst the various colour finishes and sizes also grant the Artichoke Pendant the ability to adapt to various interior styles.
