Louis Poulsen PH 4½-3½

The PH 4½-3½ Collection is made using a three-layered shade system created by Poul Henningsen in 1925. The first lights designed using this system were created in cooperation with Louis Poulsen for an exhibition in Paris. Henningsen continued to collaborate with Louis Poulsen until he died in 1967. The iconic shade was created using the logarithmic spiral as a basis, resulting in an even distribution of light over the entire curve of the shade. The model number of the PH 4½-3½ refers to the size of each shade, with a top shade of approximately 45cm and a lower shade of 35cm.

The PH 4½-3½ Collection includes a table lamp and a floor lamp. Each lamp is available with a mouth-blown glass opal shade and a high lustre chrome-plated steel base. The contrast between glass and metal creates an elegant and sophisticated aesthetic with a timeless essence. When illuminated, the PH 4½-3½ Collection produces a glare-free lighting that fills the room with a soft, ambient glow. Display the table and floor lamp individually or together to create a comfortable and cosy atmosphere, perfect for a lounge, bedroom, or reading nook.
