Kartell Luce is a large arched floor lamp designed by Ferruccio Laviani. The design reinterprets the familiar suspended lamp as a freestanding light, using a tall base and sweeping curved structure to position the shade away from its point of support. This generous reach allows Luce to provide direct overhead illumination without requiring a ceiling connection or placing a conventional floor lamp immediately beside the area being lit.
The collection is designed for use over dining tables, beside sofas, and within reading or lounge areas, making it suitable for both domestic interiors and larger contract spaces. Its integrated LED produces a warm 2700K light, while the dimmable output can be adjusted from softer evening illumination to a brighter, more focused level. The combination of direct light and a wide arched form gives Luce a practical purpose while also creating a strong architectural presence within the room.
Made from recycled and painted thermoplastic technopolymer, the Kartell Luce collection reflects the brand’s continued focus on combining industrial production with expressive contemporary design. It is available in White, Black, and Terracotta, allowing the lamp to either sit quietly within a neutral scheme or become a more defined feature. White emphasises the clarity of the silhouette, Black gives the curved structure a sharper graphic quality, and Terracotta introduces a warmer, more distinctive finish. Across each version, the scale and reach of Luce make it particularly well suited to spacious living rooms, dining areas, hospitality interiors, and other settings where light needs to be positioned precisely without altering the ceiling.
