Artemide Mesmeri is formed from a single curve of aluminium that shields the source from view. Designed by Eric Solè, it throws most of its light upwards, with a smaller amount falling below, so the beam spreads into the room more gently.
The shape does most of the work. In daylight, it already has a clear presence on the wall, and once switched on, the light stays tucked within the curve of the body. That gives the fitting a softer effect, because the light is reflected out from the form rather than pushed straight at the space.
Artemide Mesmeri includes LED and retrofit wall light versions, carrying the same ribbon-like profile across the family. The collection was recognised with the 2006 iF Produkt Design Award, the 2006 Red Dot Design Award, and the 2007 Good Design Award. Best suited for hallways, bedrooms, living spaces, and other interiors where indirect wall lighting is needed with a clean, sculptural presence.
