Artemide Architectural Niki

Niki is a compact architectural wall and ceiling light from Artemide, designed by company founder Ernesto Gismondi. The fitting combines a robust AISI 316 stainless steel body with a prismatic glass diffuser to create a simple, almost industrial bulkhead form that suits both contemporary and more traditional façades. Its circular profile and modest scale make it easy to place around entrances, along walkways or within stair cores without dominating the architecture.

The moulded stainless steel front frame is available in gloss or satin finishes and is secured with AISI 316 screws, with polyurethane gaskets providing a watertight seal. Behind the prismatic glass diffuser sits an LED retrofit E27 lamp, allowing specifiers to choose the exact lamp type while maintaining an IP65 protected enclosure. The diffuser provides a wide, comfortable spread of light and helps reduce glare, making Niki a practical choice for general illumination around doors, balconies and shared external spaces.

With its high corrosion resistance, IP65 rating and IK05 impact rating, Niki is well suited to exposed locations, coastal projects and busy circulation areas. It works equally well in exterior schemes and interior wet areas such as bathrooms and spa spaces, giving a consistent visual language across thresholds.
