The Pili Pendant is created by Arturo Alvarez for a-emotional light. Arturo’s designs are often themed around nature and organic shapes. The Pili Pendant is an excellent example of this, as each pendant is built up from the natural, organic, and random movements of weaving thread.

Each piece is handmade in Spain, created using a single painted piece of stainless-steel thread. The thread is wrapped and weaved around itself, creating random and unique patterns until it has formed a wonderfully unique pendant. The irregularity makes for an eye-catching piece both when it’s switched off or on. The woven thread acts as a diffuser to the light source, creating a play of light and shadow that is cast around surrounding walls and floors. The soft glow The Pili Pendant produces is perfect for creating ambient lighting in domestic settings such as the bedroom or in commercial spaces such as restaurants or bars. They can be installed individually or as multiples, either in clusters or running the length of a hallway.
