Moooi Meshmatics Chandelier

Rick Tegelaar designed the Meshmatics after spending most of his student years developing a process to manipulate chicken wire, creating his own tools to mould the wire into different shapes. The chandelier was one of the first designs he created and produced after graduating.

Due to its mesh frame, the Meshmatics' impressive size doesn’t cause a visual block in the room. When lit, light escapes through the wire structure, filling the room with light while projecting a play of shadows against the ceiling. The shade is formed by overlaying three dome-shaped structures of varying heights and diameters. The LED source is hidden within the golden cap at the base of the light, creating a glare-free glow.

Available in two sizes, the lightweight appearance of the Meshmatics Chandelier creates the illusion that the structure is floating in the air. This elegant and stimulating effect is perfect for creating a talking point in a sitting room, dining room, or commercial spaces such as a hotel lobby.
