Luceplan Lola Floor Lamp

The Luceplan Lola Floor Lamp, designed by Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto, is a lightweight lamp who's design was based upon the theme of dematerialisation in the world of lighting - resulting in the stripped back and minimalistic style of this light. Lola is easily recognisable with a light head made of glass fibre reinforced polyester, the head also hosts a micro perforated steel reflector that shields the light source. The telescopic stem allows the height to be adjusted and the reflector can be orientated by a thin rod to provide either a direct or indirect light.

Alberto Meda and Paolo Rizzatto have created a timeless light fixture with an beautifully simple shape using complex technologies - the Lola Floor Lamp is the carbon fibre lamp whose technology, form and highly innovative qualities earned it the Compasso d’Oro prize in 1989. In 2001 it was presented in its aluminium version with new engineering.
