Limited edition: The Water Pump is available from October 1st to December 31st.

The design of the PH 3/2 floor lamp was first introduced in the 1950s by Louis Poulsen. The lever arm of the lamp, allowing you to move it up or down, was the reason it was dubbed "The Water Pump".

Louis Poulsen are honouring Poul Henningsen's legacy by launching a limited edition of The Water Pump, with a body made of untreated brass and an amber glass shade. The shade's design is of course Louis Poulsen's signature 3-shade system giving a glare free ambience in the room.

The amber coloured glass is a tribute to the collaboration of Louis Poulsen and the Danish pioneer, who together in the 1920s first introduced the coloured glass. A move to attract more customers but some believe that the warm ambience reminded Poul the old times before electricity was introduced into every home.

The base, stem and arm are made of untreated brushed brass which over time will form a patina, adding to the beauty of the lamp. The light switch is located at the end of the arm and Poul Henningsen's initials are engraved underneath the switch.
