Doo-Wop Pendant Light by Louis Poulsen

The Doo-Wop pendant was first made in the 1950s by Louis Poulsen in collaboration with the Danish Navy Buildings Department. The pendant was used throughout many Navy buildings, including offices and canteens, and was originally named the Navy pendant because of this. It was used because of the upward and downward directed light that is created by the beautiful curved shade which resmebles the "New Look" silhouette seen in 1950s fashion.

After being taken out the Louis Poulsen brand in the 1980s, the Doo-Wop pendant light was reintroduced in 2012 with its brand new name, becoming an instant timeless classic that is still relevant today.
