Le Klint Caleo Original Pendant

The Caleo Original pendant was designed by Rikke Frost who submitted the light to the Danish competition TV show Denmark's Next Classic which sought to find the next furniture classic. The pendant came runner-up, which is a testament to the beauty and innovative design of the Caleo. The pendant seamlessly blends traditional Danish design with contemporary ideas. The brass bar contrasts with the shade, the industrial metal against delicate paper creating a striking juxtaposition.

Rikki Frost collaborated with Le Klint to create the Caleo Original. The use of pleated paper is synonymous with Le Klint and can be seen on lampshades throughout the brand’s designs. The Caleo’s shade features a stunning bronze cross-pleat, an intricate and eye-catching detail from where the Caleo gets its name. Coming from the Latin word meaning “to highlight”, Caleo references the bronze detailing that highlights the folded features throughout the shade. The Caleo can be installed individually, above a sofa or table, to cast a warm, glare-free light into the room.
