Gubi Timberline Table Lamp

The Timberline Table Lamp was originally designed by Mads Caprani in the 1970s. It is inspired by and named after the treeline and the altitude where trees can no longer grow. The wooden frame is created by alternating layers of oak and birch veneer which is meticulously crafted into shape to give the lamp its elegant form. This curved wooden spine alongside the cast iron base creates a striking contrast of colour and materials. The swan-neck form of the lamp is derived from the shape of a question mark – something that Mads Caprani was known to doodle constantly on his notebook while working on new designs.

The Timberline Table Lamp is delivered in an easy-to-assemble flatpack. This means that each part can be replaced, maximizing the lamp’s lifespan. The shade is made from Caprani's signature pleated canvas which diffuses light into a soft ambient glow. A custom-designed mechanism means that the shade can easily be adjusted, allowing you to direct light to where it is needed.
