Flos Tip of the Tongue Table Lamp

The Flos Tip of the Tongue Table Lamp was designed by Michael Anastassiades in 2013 and introduced into the Flos collection in 2026. A mouth-blown opaline glass sphere rests against the upper edge of a cylindrical base, appearing to balance at the point where the two shapes meet. The design takes its name from the familiar feeling of being unable to recall a word, with the glass sphere looking as though it might roll away at any moment.
The opaline glass diffuses light around the fitting, making Tip of the Tongue suitable for bedside tables, sideboards and occasional tables in living rooms. At 30cm high, it provides a useful source of supplementary lighting without requiring much space. An in-line dimmer on the cable allows the brightness to be adjusted from where the lamp is positioned.
Six finishes are available. The 24K Gold and Black Nickel versions have electroplated metal bases, while the Blue, Grey, Red and Green versions use glazed ceramic. Each has the same opaline glass sphere and comes with a black braided cable.
