The Flos MayDay Lamp by designer Konstantin Grcic features a practical handle, fitted with an on/off switch and two spikes to wind up the durable 5-metre cable. Industrial-inspired and with practicality at its heart, the MayDay lamp is constructed entirely from hard-wearing, water-resistant, injection-moulded polypropylene. A large hook on the end of the handle comes in useful to install the lamp wherever needed, whilst the large white funnel both reflects and protects the bulb.
The MayDay light is available in an orange or black finish and provides a diffused light output perfect for lighting dark corners of rooms, or alternatively, for a touch of industrial chic, you can suspend the MayDay in the kitchen or lounge as an extra source of light. Konstantin Grcic is a German designer, born in Munich in 1965. He originally trained to be a cabinetmaker at John Makepeace School for Craftsmen in Wood before moving on to study Design at the Royal College of Art in London.
