Droplet Ceiling Light by Artemide


A design by Ross Lovegrove for Artemide, the Droplet depicts a moments frozen in time. A wavy aluminium surface that is illuminated by three steel pebble like elements. The design is similar to the ripples created when you throw pebbles into a water surface. Lovegrove's influence is clear, as he takes inspiration from the logic and intelligence found in nature, producing organic forms. Droplet is a stunning piece for your foyer or business. The light is also available in a mini version.

Ross Lovegrove

Ross Lovegrove is a British designer who was born in 1958. He graduated from Manchester Polytechnic with a 1st Class BA Hons Industrial Design in 1980 and then went on to obtain a Master of Design at the Royal College of Art, London in 1983.
