YOY Design Studio

Founded in 2011 by Naoki Ono and Yuki Yamamoto, YOY is a design studio based in Tokyo. Naoki Ono was born in 1981 and went on to earn a degree in Architectural Design from Kyoto Institute of Technology, where he graduated in 2008. Yuki Yamamoto was born in 1985 and went on to study Industrial Design at the Kanazawa College of Art, where he also graduated in 2008. The YOY studio specialises in furniture, lighting and interior spaces.

Yoy Studio designs products that tell a story, their work is innovative and was first displayed at Milan Design Week in 2012. Since then the duo have been keen participants every year. Over the years, they have won a wide collection of awards, including the 2014 Elle Decor Japan Young Japanese Design Talent Award, the 2017 Red Dot Design Award and the 2017 Good Design Award (Japan).
