Verena Hennig

Verena Hennig is a German designer and creative director known for her human-centred, tactile approach to design. Founder of the interdisciplinary studio AKTTEM, Hennig merges functionality and emotion across disciplines ranging from product and interior design to installation and public space. Her work often bridges movement and interaction, inviting users to engage with their environments in new and meaningful ways.

Educated at the Academy of Fine Arts Nuremberg and Kingston University London, Hennig has collaborated with global institutions including Audi, Adidas and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. With the Reb Lamp for Normann Copenhagen, Hennig explores lighting as both a spatial tool and sculptural form. The result is an expressive, highly flexible light object that reflects her signature style — functional, minimalist, and infused with personality. Her work has been widely exhibited and continues to push the boundaries of what everyday objects can communicate.
