Thierry Dreyfus

Thierry Dreyfus is a leading lighting designer based in France. He was born in 1960 and made his debut as a designer at only 19 years old. He worked with the designer Ann Demeulemeester for many years, starting in 1989, where he collected a wide range of skills. Dreyfus has been classed as an expert in soft glow, perfecting cosy ambient lighting, and has created amazing lighting displays for world-famous fashion shows; some of his clients include Dior Yves Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein.

In 2002, Dreyfus founded his own luxury event production company - Eyesight. Since then, the designer has conceived beautiful art installations, and also focuses on smaller projects in the product design sector; specifically furniture and lighting. Thierry Dreyfus' product design is classified as having a strong sculptural feel.

Because if I design a set to send to an architect in New York or Paris, I’ll ask my colleagues, “What do you think about it?” They might say they don’t like that colour, or why would I do it this way.
