Studio 0405 is an architecture and design studio based in Copenhagen. The company was founded in 2015 by Nikolaj Lorentz Mentze who studied product design at Kolding School of Design in Denmark. Studio 0405 plays with our surroundings through the products they produce, whilst aiming to enhance our everyday life through modern craftsmanship. They often use non-expected materials and production methods throughout the design process, resulting in unique contemporary pieces.
The studio collaborates with other creatives such as artists, photographers and craftsmen on design projects with a wide range of clients, but their most famous design is the Apollo collection for Danish brand HAY. Studio 0405 brings new perspectives to furniture and lighting design.
