Ronan Bouroullec
Ronan Bouroullec was born in the French countryside, Quimper in 1971 and went on to study at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art. He has worked alongside his older brother, Erwan, for over 15 years, and their longstanding professional relationship led to the founding of Bouroullec Studio, which is located in Paris. Their designs are held in some of the world’s most coveted permanent collections, with exhibitions devoted to their work.

Bouroullec also works outside of this partnership on several projects, creating abstract prints and posters which are now featured in exhibitions such as the Galerie Kreo, Cooper-Hewitt Museum, Smithsonian Design Museum and Art Institute of Chicago. Giulio Cappellini also witnessed his work at the Paris Salon du Meuble in 1997 which gave him the opportunity to create his first piece of industrial design for which he was awarded the Grand Prix du Design by the City of Paris.

"I’ve been drawing since I was a child, and today, I’m interested in showing all these different sides of my work and research. It’s by no means easy; it comes naturally, but it requires a great deal of work. However, it's a pleasure, and definitely has to do with being driven by passion." - Ronan Bouroullec
