Romain Sillon is a Paris based designer whose practice bridges product design, cabinetmaking, and hands on workshop methods. Educated in product design before earning a cabinetmaking qualification, he worked with BIG-GAME, Sylvain Willenz, and Perron & Frères, refining a precise, methodical approach grounded in material understanding and mechanical clarity.

Sillon’s work explores movement and the subtle poetry of mechanisms you can feel rather than see. For HAY he created the Twist Floor Lamp, a sculptural uplighter with an intuitive height adjustment that quietly transforms atmosphere. His pieces prioritise longevity and everyday usability, with forms that sit naturally in contemporary interiors.
