Giovanni Giacobone & Massimo Roj

Giovanni Giacobone is an architect and designer who works in the fields of architecture, product design, and graphic design. He also teaches at the Faculty of Design of the Polytechnic University of Milan. Since 1999, he has directed and coordinated the Industrial Design Division of Progetto CMR, where he designs home and office products that integrate design, technology, functionality and environmental sustainability.

Massimo Roj is a designer who has worked in various fields such as architectural design, visual communication and industrial design. He holds a degree in Architecture and a doctorate in Industrial Design, Project and Resource Management and Industrial Product Development Strategies from the Milan Polytechnic School. In 1999, he joined the CMR project as head of the Industrial Design division, where he designed and developed industrial projects for major companies.

Progetto CMR carries out different-scale projects combining an experimental dimension and a multidisciplinary expertise. Since 2010, it has been among the top 100 design firms in the world reported by BD World Architecture Top 100. The work of Progetto CMR has been honoured with several awards, such as the Red Dot Award 2016 and the IF Design Award 2016.
