Odin Visser has a background in industrial engineering, graduating from Delft University of Technology in 2007. He uses this knowledge to approach design from an analytical standpoint, utilising research and analysis throughout his creative process. In 2022, Visser founded Studio LoopLoop alongside designer Charles Gateau. Studio LoopLoop encompasses Visser’s analytical methodology and is renowned for being a research-based studio that explores playful minimalism.
Odin Visser worked with Dutch lighting brand Moooi to produce the NomNom Pendant. This playful lighting solution is an excellent example of Visser’s minimalistic philosophy, considering fewer ingredients and more emotion. Throughout his career, Odin Visser has worked on notable installations worldwide, including anodised and plant-dyed lighting, vases, and roofing for a series of pavilions at the Chelsea Flower Show. In 2025, he created a fully functional temporary plant dyeing lab, using various plant extracts, installed for Milan Design Week.
“Playful minimalism is like riding a loop; a simple shape that gives unexpected perspectives while being circular at the same time.” - Odin Visser
