Matti Klenell is a Swedish designer, best known for his explorations into Nordic design. Klenell graduated from from Konstfrack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in 1999 with a degree in Interior Architecture. He quickly founded his own studio in 2000, since then he has worked with various manufacturers in Europe and Asia. Some of his clients include Iittala, Källemo, Moooi, Muuto and Örsjö. His aim is to bring his designs to life by giving them all them character and personality.
Klenell also teaches at Beckmans School of Design in Stockholm and has accumulated a number of awards for his work, such as; Red Dot Design Award, Excellent Swedish Design Diploma and even the Ljunggren Design Prize in 2003.

The art projects I develop could be described as a personal laboratory where I explore materials, production techniques and human behaviours without any restrictions than my own.
