Designer Lise Navne was born in 1979. In 2006, she graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London. After graduation, she worked as a freelance designer, where her projects included designing the interior for Danish clothes store VILA. In 2007, Lise Navne began working for Le Klint, where she created the Donut Pendant. Navne was drawn to Le Klint due to their craftsmanship and production techniques. The Donut Pendant features pleating throughout the shade, a technique that is synonymous with Le Klint. Each shade is expertly hand-folded in Le Klint's pleating studio in Denmark.
As well as designing lighting, Lise Navne produces homeware and furniture. She draws from her heritage when designing new products, using her Danish roots to create pieces that are as innovative as they are functional. Today, she continues to work as a freelance designer in Central Denmark.
“My advantage as an international designer is my ability to look at design in a different way. I believe my Danish background, combined with my international education, gives me a unique combination, which enables me to approach design in a different way.” – Lise Navne.
