Born and raised in Denmark, Knut Bendik Humlevik is a Danish product designer and creative director of New Works. He studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture in Copenhagen, where he met fellow designer Rune Krojgaard - the pair went on to open their own studio together, titled KR, and are now both head designers for the lighting and furniture manufacturer NOR11.
Knut Bendik Humlevik's most prominent accomplishment is founding New Works, a contemporary Scandinavian lighting and furniture brand; they pay tribute to natural materials and sculptural forms and are a perfect depiction of Humlevik's style, combining artistic forms and functionality.
