Kasper Friis Kjeldgaard is a Danish designer who graduated from the Royal School of Design and Architecture in 2016. His work is described as poetic with a refined expression, and he is known for constantly striving to develop his techniques and test new materials. Kjeldgaard aims to broaden the definition of design through his work, and his approach has won him multiple awards, including the Craftsman of the Year Design Award, 2018, and the Formex Nova Design Award, 2019.

With an emphasis on craftsmanship, Kasper Friis Kjeldgaard has exhibited his work at Mindcraft in Milan, The Curio-Chart Art Fair and the Patrick Parrish Gallery in New York, among others. He has already collaborated with many brands, such as Fritz Hansen, for whom he designed the Oneline.

"Most of my ideas come while I am working with the materials in my studio – hands-on. I can best describe the transition process from art to commerce and vice-versa, like the movement of a pendulum. When working on an artistic concept, I can come across solutions that I can eventually apply to a commercial project, and the other way around. It’s swinging back and forth." - Kasper Friis Kjeldgaard
